This blog will track, interrogate, and celebrate  contemporary Iraqi organizing and movement-building from a left perspective, all while linking what’s happening now to Iraq’s long legacy of grassroots vision and political engagement.  It will also look past Iraq’s borders to reflect on what connections Iraqis are making to liberation struggles regionally, and around the world.

The creator and sole contributor to this blog, Ali Issa, is the national field organizer for the War Resisters League, and is based in Brooklyn, New York. He can be reached at: Ali@warresisters.org.
